“I agree, it was a lovely atmosphere..I enjoyed the afternoon making and chatting to folk. Also seeing music at the centre was fab but there was something nice about sitting down making and doing with adults and children.

"It was very simple we cd do some more themed activities like this..With tea and cake .etc. Also it was good to hear music in the small room too. So any other event needn't always be big..each time.. Yes well done to all.”

“Just to let you know I much I enjoyed the Toy Symphony afternoon at the Hanwell Community Centre a couple of weeks ago. I was amazed how you managed to get the children with assortments of whistles and percussion to get better and better in coming in on time and with such energy and concentration to play two whole movements from Haydn’s Toy Symphony.

"It just shows how with some dedication and resources it is possible to get children to get a feel for being part of a collective musical enterprise - something that can inspire them to go on to listen to and make music for the rest of their lives.

"And it shows that it doesn’t have to be that difficult! The enterprise was a fitting continuation to the inspiring work done with the children in the Gallileo opera you wrote and organised the production of at the Ealing Autumn Festival.

"Also I was very moved by your playing  of Chopin and Schubert afterwards. So much so that I was inspired to start practising again one ot Schubert impromptus you played. May projects like these long continue.”

“We had a great time, the tour was fantastic, thank you Florence. Jewel in West London’s crown!”

“I really enjoyed performing at the Hanwell Heritage Hestival last Saturday. Thank you for letting me play the nightingale it was really fun. I enjoyed everything at the festival and my favourite part was when you gave out all those pretty necklaces!

"My second favourite part was when I played "the policeman" and "the bugle call" in front of an audience because I like doing things in front of an audience and it makes me feel proud. I also enjoyed playing in the concert with all the people, and I liked the sounds they made with their instruments, piano, violin, clarinet, flute, recorder, triangle, drum, trumpet and those other instruments that me and that boy were playing.”  (A happy nightingale player, aged 7.)

“Enjoyed the tour – had never been in the basement before – really good.

Pictures are great!”

“Absolutely superb.”
