“The enterprising Ealing Autumn Festival."

Norman Lebrecht, national arts commentator and journalist

"The 1947 film of Nicholas Nickleby was made at Ealing Studios. But in a rather brilliant coup, the film will be screened in Ealing Studios. This is a rare chance to get inside the famous studio."

The Londonist

The Delius Society gave the Ealing Autumn Festival an award in recognition of the outstanding contribution it made to the Delius 150th anniversary celebrations in October 2012. Other recipients included BBC Radio 3 (Controller, Roger Wright), The Proms, The British Library, Julian Lloyd Webber and John Bridcut.

"We are enormously grateful to you for your initiative in mounting this Delius and Dickens Festival.  Máté Rácz [violin] was outstanding as were the Bridge Quartet. Yesterday too, the afternoon concert was excellent.  Anando [Mukerjee, tenor] has a wonderful voice and his accompanist [Pavel Timofejevsky] was first class. And you [Gillian Spragg] presented a fascinating selection of rarely heard piano music with great style and accomplishment. We will all have good memories of some fine music-making to reflect upon."

Michael Green, Vice-Chairman of the Delius Society

"I found the Festival an enjoyable and enterprising occasion, especially memorable for the excellent concert given by the West London Sinfonia on the Saturday evening."

Member of the Delius Society

"I am delighted to congratulate the Ealing Autumn Festival on the national accolades it has received for its achievements in the arts and its work in the community. I give the Festival my full support and hope that all others in the London Borough of Ealing will add their support in any way they can."

Councillor Mohammad Aslam, Mayor of Ealing 2012-2013

"What a coup - or rather series of coups!"

Stephen Pound MP

"I have been delighted to find out about the innovative work that the Ealing Autumn Festival has been doing amongst the Borough’s diverse communities. It connects high quality artistic and cultural events with local participation. It promises to be very enjoyable and should bring stimulus and opportunities to local businesses and residents alike. I urge everyone to support the Ealing Autumn Festival in every way they can."

Virendra Sharma MP

“I am very excited that the Festival will highlight and cement the cultural influences on Delius in its Heritage Project. I have no doubt that everyone will be thoroughly enriched by attending the performances.”

Cheryl Burke, Chair Black History & Culture West London

“I feel privileged to be involved in a project that will enable young people from diverse ethnic communities in Ealing and beyond to work alongside musicians, historians, artists and community activists, of African/Caribbean, or Asian or British/European heritages to explore, document and showcase the eclectic strands of Delius’ music. Such work can only encourage community cohesion and ‘cultural bonding’ as well as contribute new understandings of the relationship between English heritage and Asian and African/American music respectively.”

Grace Quansah, Director of Writing, Acting and Publishing Project for Youngsters (WAPPY)

And from the local residents:

"Amazed congratulations on the Festival!"

"Many congrats on your amazing festival! The scope was astonishing and everyone I met enjoyed whatever they heard or saw."

"Julian Lloyd Webber’s concert was just wonderful! I had always heard he was very good but I never thought how much I would enjoy his lovely playing - what a star!"
